Hello Readers,
Lets jump right to it. I am wrapping up some really big projects, and starting on others. What a time to be a creator. I am choosing to keep this letter positive, but if you want to know my thoughts on the latest AI “trend” check my notes on the substack app.
✧ BONES AMONG THE BRIARS: TOOTH & NAIL ✧
While my editor is out of town, I will be focusing on the final chapters for Tooth & Nail: Season One. Posting has been a bit slow for the last couple months, due to my illustration projects being the focus of my work. But I have some really fun things planned for the page that you will be the first to see: starting with a rebrand.

FOXGLOVE FANTASY FICTION is a new book box company specifically for Indie Authors run by

To celebrate thier launch in April they created a Flash Fiction competition, where they assigned three words to write about. My assignment was A WISHBONE, A FROG, AND A FIRE. While working on the flashfiction I met a ragtag bunch of characters, that are begging for thier story to continue.
I will be submitting my story for it tomorrow! But here is the first line and a title.

SHIRSTEN SHIRTS
When Shirsten told me she was working on a new spinoff series to The Moonwell Archives, I was so excited! However I also wanted to be concious of my other deadlines and current projects. But when she said the magic words of “object” book design and shared the premise of the story, I was done for.
I usually create eight thumbnails for each of my book designs. But to save on time I cut the amount down to four. Who knew that actually would speed up my design process immensly. The first design I sketched out was the one chosen, with the colors from the design on the far left.

I am so pleased to announce my part in V.K. DIXONS Kickstarter as her illustrator for the limited editions! I cannot wait for you all to get the full trilogy onto your shelves! I fell in love with this series last year, and it has been such a privledge to play a small role in it’s publication. (art shown not final version) Keep an eye out fot the final cover reveals.
