Hello Readers,
I have decided to release this month's issue early, due to the shenanigans of the season.
What a year 2024 has been! I was able to make new friends, create new art, read many books, and write many stories. How wonderful it’s been to see my artwork on book covers and finally publish a story of my own!
The year was not without its struggles. I got along well with my two coworkers... most of the time. One of them may or may not commandeer all my attention. She frequently demands that I work on her projects instead of my own. Her projects include Project Puzzles, Project Snacks, and Project DannyGo! As a result of these constraints, I have had to work the night shift.
My other coworker is also a strange specimen. He tends to lurk in corners and has the work ethic of a snail. When he is not napping during the day he gets the zoomies and bites. But I suppose that is what I get for adopting a mini Yuletide Cat.
Working from home is not for the faint of heart.
As far as my 2024 Winter reads: I did a wide range of both cozy stories and dark-toned ones.
I was not planning on the holidays to be the busiest time of the year (silly me) but both the writing desk and the illustration commissions have been at full capacity. Thank the stars for The Muppet Christmas Carol and Klaus for allowing me to maintain my Christmas spirit (and sanity).
AND suprise I am working on a small story that will be released on Christmas! A few Authors on Substack got together and wrote for eachother in the Fiction Gift Exchange. Prepare yourself [name redacted] for A Dark Winter Folktale!
Thank you to
for putting the event together! It is going to be so fun to connect with more authors!(Also I apologize for any nightmares that may incur from this one. I will not lie to you, attempting to channel Washington Irving and Edgar Allen Poe was quite fun.)
✦ TOOTH & NAIL✦
For those who are waiting on more Tooth & Nail chapters after THAT cliffhanger, fear not there is more writing in the works. I am taking time to flesh out the characters and the world in which they live.
Besides the illustration projects that I am working on for clients (of which there are MANY exciting things up and coming) I will be focusing ALL of my efforts on my fairytale adaptations. While the four books will be able to be read as standalones I want to be sure that the series is satisfying and polished.
Keep an eye out for announcments in the upcoming months.
❄️ I hope you all have a lovely Holiday!
I'm finally getting myself into a legitimate groove here on Substack instead of it being an after thought, and SERIOUSLY need to start and catch up with your stories. But also, I very much look forward to your newsletters. I hope you know!
Ayyy can’t wait to read your story! 😍
